Meet The Founders - Mandy Pullin and Tiffany Watt - Peachtree City Moms

Meet Mandy Pullin, Mom of Tobin and Isabel residing in PTC and
Tiffany Watt residing in Beaufort, SC. Both Mandy and Tiffany are the Co- Founders of DPP Travel, “a full-service travel agency that creates comprehensive itineraries for our clients, from arranging accommodations to coordinating transportation, dining, and more.  We handle every aspect of logistics so that you can fully immerse yourself in the joy of your destination.” In our Q&A below, Mandy and Tiffany share their backgrounds, upcoming trips, travel tips, and favorite Mom Hack!

What are your backgrounds? Tell us about your careers.

Mandy – From navigating the skies with Delta Airlines in conflict resolution to guiding travelers through luxury destinations, my career path has been shaped by adaptability and a dedication to service. As a military spouse, I transformed necessary flexibility into valuable professional opportunities.

My professional foundation was built at Delta Airlines, where I honed crucial skills in problem-solving and customer satisfaction. Following the events of 9/11, I transitioned to education, applying my teaching certification to middle school science classrooms across Georgia and Tennessee for 15 years. This experience cultivated my ability to manage diverse groups, analyze complex data, and develop effective systems that benefited students and faculty alike.

When military relocation made teaching impractical, I pivoted to conducting employment workshops for the Department of Transportation. It was during this transition that my lifelong friend Tiffany encouraged me to explore a career as a travel advisor. We initially joined a theme park-focused host agency, but soon recognized our shared vision for something more refined and personalized.

This insight led us to establish DPP Travel in June 2019, a specialized independent agency focusing on luxury destinations. My background in conflict resolution, educational leadership, and group management has proven invaluable in creating exceptional travel experiences. The attention to detail required in curriculum development now translates to meticulously crafted itineraries. My experience managing classroom dynamics also informs how I navigate client relationships and expectations in the luxury travel space.

Tiffany
– My background is diverse and rich, with experience spanning from personal executive assistant to Disney Store manager and subcontractor for the US Marshal Service. As a personal executive assistant, I honed my skills in meticulous organization and project management, coordinating both corporate and personal travel for executive families and ensuring their work lives ran seamlessly. These experiences, coupled with my managerial role at Disney, instilled in me a deep appreciation for detail-oriented scheduling and the ability to juggle multifaceted responsibilities. This naturally paved the way for my current passion: planning luxury vacations. In this role, I not only utilize my organizational expertise but also find immense joy in cultivating meaningful relationships with clients and partners, further enriching my life.

What called you both to become Travel Agents?

Mandy – Tiffany called, and called, and called 😊 When she began working in travel, she messaged me and said she thought I would excel at this and it would be an excellent opportunity for me.  At the time, I was a mom to two small kids, the spouse of a Special Operations officer, and a full-time teacher.  I did not have the bandwidth to learn one more thing.  Then, as the Army does, we moved to a place where I could not teach, my husband was not constantly deploying, and my youngest started Kindergarten.  And what do you know?  My message pinged again, “NOW do you have time?”  I did!  In 2018, I joined her as a theme park specialist agent, and we both quickly expanded into more luxury-focused travel.

Tiffany – I realized there was a need for travel advisors, even with the availability of online booking engines. Not everyone has 15-30 hours to research a trip, but I did, and I enjoyed the process. I loved organizing plans, scheduling tours, and meeting people who could help make my clients’ trips amazing. Discovering I could build a business and career out of this was what hooked me – especially since I already had experience planning corporate and personal travel for my bosses and friends.

What is the best thing about your job?

Without a doubt, the best part of this job is getting to know our clients and helping them create lifelong memories.

Do you have any travel tips you can share?

Make sure you have your Real ID and get your passport!  Even if you don’t think you’ll need these, as of May 7, 2025 you cannot fly domestically without the Real ID.  People often take cruises without a passport; never do this!  Even if you don’t plan to leave the ship, things happen, and you can get stranded on foreign soil with no passport to get you home.

What is your best “working mom” tip or “Mom Hack”?

Getting overwhelmed is so easy as a mom! I learned to make checklists—one big, ever-changing To-Do list and one for tasks to be completed today. This helps me prioritize and shows my brain that everything is not an Emergency.

What do you love about Peachtree City and the surrounding areas?

The easy answer is the paths and schools, right?  It is one of the primary reasons we chose PTC as our destination after my husband retired from the Army.  Outside of the two features that many focus on, PTC has such a strong sense of community and service.  The local organizations are so involved, and people here really make a point to help their neighbors and show up when it matters most.

What TV show are you loving right now? Book? Movie? Podcast?

Mandy –  I have always been an avid reader, and my elementary school teacher said I didn’t read, I inhale books.  She wasn’t wrong, I average about 2.5 books per week, so I am always reading something!  My favorite book this year has been The Third Gilmore Girl by Kelly Bishop.  I loved learning more about her past and what led her to the show, and what she’s been up to since the show ended.
