Desmond and Krista are a Husband and Wife team where Krista takes on the design/decor and Desmond handles the installation. In our Q&A, Desmond and Krista share how their business, Reeves Wall Designs, grew from a single social media post!

What is your background? Tell us about your career.
Desmond has over 20+ years in Sales/Management ; he is also a United States Marine Corps Veteran.
Krista has been a Registered Nurse (RN) & also holds a Respiratory Therapy Degree/
What called you to open Reeves Design and Consulting?
It really came out of a personal need. After buying our home, Krista wanted some upgrades done to her office/flex space. We got several quotes back to back that were astronomical ( each one higher than the next).
Desmond decided to accept the challenge of extending our traditional wainscoting and Krista took on the design/decor aspects. After much practice and trial and error, Desmond installed the beautiful wainscoting. This along with the newly decorated space got posted on social media and we started getting requests from friends and neighbors…The “rest is history” as they say.
We love your accent walls! How did you come to specialize in this particular area of design?
Pretty much the same concept as above, the specialized accent walls started because of our own personal needs in our home. We still have Desmond’s very first wall he installed in our home to date; it definitely has strong sentimental value attached. It also shows Desmond’s progression and mastery of his craft, over the last few years.
You are an amazing Husband and Wife team. What is it like to work together?
We work well together. We just remember at the end of it all, that we are a team and husband & wife first, above all else.
What is the best thing about your job?
Our clients! We’ve met some AMAZING people along the way; many of whom have become friends and like family to us.
Also, it is very important to us to have great customer service/satisfied customers; seeing their reactions when their project is complete, it never gets old.
What is your favorite “Parent hack”?
Not sure if it’s a “hack” per se, but we allow our children to be children. In addition, they have a voice and we ensure they have a safe place to express themselves, while still maintaining the rules and order in our home.
What do you love about Peachtree City and the surrounding areas?
We love the family feel and wide variety of activities that are available, no matter what your interests are. We think PTC, Fayetteville, Tyrone, McDonough, Hampton and the surrounding areas are so centrally located and pretty much close to everything.
What TV show are you loving right now? Book? Movie? Podcast?
We haven’t truly gotten into anything since Game of Thrones ended. When we have downtime, we like to watch true crime tv shows/programs and we love watching “Family Feud” and old episodes of “Deal or No Deal “.
