What is your background? Tell us about your career
I worked from age 17 to 22 at Best Buy which is also where I met my husband. We both left Best Buy and started working at a money transportation company.  I managed the vault and he managed the fleet of armored vehicles. We were both there for 6 years and towards the end of that time we started planning the Venue project.  Neither one of us had a college degree but we were both very motivated and knew that together we could do anything.  So, with no idea how we were going to get the funds to pay for land or even build a venue, we started our planning.  One step at a time, we were able to make our dream come true.

What called you to build Sanoah Springs?  I love that it is named after your daughter!

As a hobby, I always loved helping friends and family plan parties, weddings, showers etc.  Then, I actually started planning events for people I didn’t know just to make some additional income, I would do decorating, the food, drinks, etc.  Then one day my Aunt Donna said ” Dalyn you need to build a wedding venue, whatever it takes you need to do it”  I really just thought she was crazy, but she believed in me and she was right.

As far as my daughter’s name goes, we lived in Senoia and I always thought it would make a beautiful name for a little girl.  It was no question that the Venue be named after her.  We didn’t know at first what to use after Sanoah in the title but there is a natural spring on the property which feeds the pond so that made it very easy….SANOAH SPRINGS.

What ALL does your Event Space offer?
We offer decorating, cleanup, the bartender, coordinator, cake, florals, etc.  We actually have onsite all the decorations a client would need.  We try to have all the on trend and up to date items that brides are wanting, this can really help our clients save money.

What advice would you give someone planning an event and/or wedding, etc.?  When it comes to planning a wedding, remember the reason for the whole celebration and that your guests are there to be a witness to your vows to each other.  This sometimes gets forgotten and I feel that it holds great value and meaning.  Remember that its a celebration of love between two individuals, slow down and enjoy the planning and remember what the whole day is actually about. However, as with planning any event, stay as organized as possible and don’t wait until the last minute on anything.

What is the best thing about your job?  It doesn’t feel like a job or work, it’s just part of my life.

What is your best “working mom” tip? Communicate with your husband as much as possible, a glass of wine is your friend, reduce the amount of tv and soical media that you watch ( you will achieve more).

What is your favorite “mom hack”?  Always have wet wipes in your bag no matter what!!!!

What do you love about Peachtree City and the surrounding areas? Well, we live in Pike County, so when we are in Peachtree City I’m all about the restaurants and Target!!!!

What TV show are you loving right now? Book? Movie? Podcast? I love any kind of Action movie, and my favorite show is Yellowstone!

Is there anything else you would like to share with our Moms?  No matter how impossible something seems, you can do it! Some hard work, communication, and sacrifices can help build whatever your dream is.
