Q&A

What is your background? Tell us about your career…what called you to become a Photographer?

Whenever my own family had photos taken, I found myself wishing for something more than the posed shots. The real moments. The laughter between prompts, the way your kids lean into you, the split seconds you don’t even realize are happening. Photography started as a way for me to hold onto those moments that felt like they were slipping by too fastthe chaos, the connection. After building a successful photography business in Nashville, I’ve recently relocated to Peachtree City and am excited to serve local families with my relaxed, natural approach. My sessions are easy, guided when needed, and centered around capturing connection…not perfection.

I see life as a series of photographs…moments unfolding in real time, just waiting to be captured.
I wanted to share this with other people.

What type of Photography Sessions do you offer?
I specialize in families, babies, and high school seniors. Twice a year I offer black and white personality portraits – my favorite sessions!!

What is the best thing about your job?
The best part of what I do is creating something tangible from a fleeting moment…something you can hold, revisit, and feel all over again.  I also genuinely love connecting with the families I work with.Building those relationships is one of my favorite parts of the job.
What is your best “working mom” tip?

Lower the bar on perfection. Some days are for thriving, some are just for getting through.
Our kids won’t remember our bad days. They’ll remember the laughter, the comfort, and the way we showed up for them overall. My mom always reminds me of that when I’m stressed.
What is your favorite “mom hack”?
Clearing my mind with regular exercise and meditation helps me show up calmer, and more present.
What do you love about Peachtree City and the surrounding areas?
I grew up here, and although my family moved to Philadelphia when I was 17, this place has always stayed with me! There’s a pace to life here that feels slower, calmer, and kinder. It’s something I didn’t fully appreciate until coming back. And then there are the golf cart car lines at school. I’m obsessed. I laughed so hard, I cried the first time I saw one. It’s one of those things that makes this place feel so unique and fun.

What TV show are you loving right now? Book? Movie? Podcast?
My husband and I are currently in the middle of 24. We decided to go back to a classic, and with a million episodes, we know we’ll always have one ready to watch! As far as books, right now I’m on a historical fiction kick. I almost always enjoy anything by Ronald Balson and Kristin Hannah!
Is there anything else you would like to share with our Moms?

No one wakes up saying, “YAY, today is family picture day.”
So don’t worry about moods or outfits…just show up.Iwill have been so worth it when you receive your images (and when you have them to look back on in 10, 20, 30 years).
