Meet Tia Adams, the Owner of Branch & Vine in Peachtree City & Newnan! Branch & Vine is a specialty food store offering high quality artisan foods, unmatched olive oils, balsamic vinegars, pastas, sauces, loose leaf teas, seasonings, gift baskets, houseware, candles, sugar scrubs, body wash, and so much more from Georgia and all around the world. In our Q&A with Tia, she shares her journey to becoming the Owner of Branch & Vine, the incredible events she hosts including micro cooking classes, along with her favorite “life hack”!
What is your background? Tell us about your career. I have a B.S Chemical Engineering from Clark Atlanta University, and a MBA from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. I have worked in various positions for Fortune 500 companies such as 3M and Indorama Ventures as a Product Engineer, Process Engineer, and Quality Assurance Engineer for over 12 years. I’m currently a Medical Device Program Manager in Atlanta, Ga.
What called you to become an Entrepreneur?
I’ve had an entrepreneurial spirit for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I babysat in my neighborhood and absolutely loved the flexibility and responsibility it gave me. More than that, I loved getting to know my community and supporting moms—who were always so appreciative.
In college, I took things a step further. I started making clothes and styling hair to earn extra income, and I truly enjoyed expressing my creativity that way. While pursuing my engineering degree, my entrepreneurial spirit only grew stronger. My friends and I were constantly brainstorming business ideas, hoping to bring something to life one day. Though none of those early ideas took off, the fire never left me.
Instead, I poured my energy into retail, working 3–4 jobs each year. I wanted to learn everything—how to provide exceptional customer service, how to merchandise products, and how to run an efficient operation. I give special thanks to Publix for teaching me the gold standard of customer care. Those experiences showed me that I had what it took to one day run my own business.
Tell us about Branch & Vine and the products and events you offer?
Branch & Vine is a specialty food store that offers high-quality artisan foods from right here in Georgia and from around the world. Our product selection includes premium olive oils, aged balsamic vinegars, pastas, sauces, loose-leaf teas, seasonings, gift baskets, home goods, candles, body scrubs, body wash, and more.
But Branch & Vine is more than just a store—we’re an experience. We host private and public cooking classes, Olive Oil & Balsamic 101 tastings, tea classes, and traditional tea ceremonies. We also offer bottle painting workshops for both kids and adults.
One of my favorite things we do is visit local senior centers and senior living communities, where we teach nutrition and cooking classes. And if given the opportunity, we’d love to bring those same kinds of classes to schools and afterschool programs. We believe every child should learn how to cook with simple, healthy ingredients—and our classes are always fun, hands-on, and engaging.
Do you have any upcoming events?
Yes! Every month, we host Micro Cooking Classes—a 20-minute, intimate class where you learn how to make delicious meals in minutes. It’s perfect for busy people who want to try something new without committing a huge chunk of their day. You get to ask questions, eat, and even take your lunch to go. It’s a quick, fun experience designed especially for those who may feel overwhelmed by longer classes but still want to cook more confidently.
We also have our Fall Open House coming up in October. We transform the store with cozy fall décor and offer several seasonal tastings to inspire your holiday menus—just in time for tailgates and Thanksgiving planning!
What is the best thing about your job?
Having stores in such a wonderful, heart felt community! I love having stores in Peachtree City and Newnan, Ga. I love the synergy here. Being a resident and business owner in these counties is truly a blessing. I do my best to give back through mentorship, donations, partnerships and service. As a member of this community, I feel honored to pour back into my community.
Branch & Vine is so much more than a retail store, we’re in quilted into our community. We love on you, we pray with and for you. We encourage kindness and gratitude. We’re not a perfect business but we know everyone that comes through our door is truly blessing. We’re a unique business where we get to learn about your families and friends and connect with customers on a deeper level. We cherish the people that live hereand visit.
What is your favorite “life hack”?
Love! Love makes every better…Family, food, tough times, it all gets better with love. As long as you share it genuinely, it makes everything better.
