Meet Taylor Ruby and Dylan Ruby of Alsies Peachtree City, an Ice Cream Truck bringing back that neighborhood magic — just like the good ol’ days when the ice cream truck made its rounds. What really sets us apart is the Alsies App. It’s like having a direct line to your favorite ice cream truck! Once you download the app, you’ll get notifications when the truck is coming to your neighborhood, plus real-time tracking so you’ll never miss us. And if you’re wrangling kiddos or just need a minute to throw on your shoes, you can tell the driver to wait a minute while you make a quick dash outside. We want to make it as easy as possible to enjoy those sweet moments with us — no rush, no hassle.

Our core service is hitting the streets in your neighborhood, spreading smiles and serving up those sweet treats. But we don’t stop there! You can also reserve our pink truck for any event you have in mind. From school fundraisers and kids’ birthday parties to sporting events and neighborhood pool hangouts, we’re here to make any occasion a little sweeter.

For more information and to download the APP, visit  linktr.ee/alsiespeachtreecity.

Mayor Kim Learnard is up for re-election. Read her platform at KimLearnardForMayor.com and be sure to vote on Nov. 4, 2025!

Kim Learnard has served as Peachtree City mayor since 2022. A proven leader who fiercely protects the paths, greenspaces, and villages we all cherish, she is also committed to planning responsibly for our future. Her leadership is why we are ranked one of the Top 10 safest cities in Georgia and Best Small Towns to Raise a Family. In her first term, she brought tax relief, expanded the path system, and eliminated user fees at the splash pad and athletic fields. She fought for 18 new city pickleball courts and upgraded the Riley Field running track. Peachtree City is replacing aging infrastructure, placing an SRO in every elementary school, and filling empty storefronts with thriving new businesses. She successfully blocked apartments in the former Kmart and protects our city from overdevelopment. While GDOT continues its work at Hwy 54/74, she is preparing for next steps on the Hwy 54 corridor and a roundabout at Crosstown Road and Peachtree Parkway. Our community is in the best hands – let’s keep the momentum going!

Amanda Mullis is the owner of Carla’s Dance Factory, a dance studio serving Fayette County and surrounding areas for over 40 years. Amanda and her husband Jimmy officially became owners in July 2025, continuing the legacy founded by Carla Gillespie Berry. They are passionate about preserving CDF’s tradition of excellence while ushering in a new era of creativity, community, and opportunity for dancers of all ages.

Amanda brings nearly three decades of experience in education as a classroom teacher, curriculum coordinator, curriculum developer, and professional learning instructor. She and Jimmy have been part of the CDF family for 17 years, first as dance parents and now as studio owners. Their daughters, Sara (a double major in Dance and Exercise Science at the University of Georgia) and Anna (a current high school Junior and CDF Senior Company dancer), embody the studio’s “Rooted in Legacy, Powered by Now” spirit.

As part of expanding opportunities for young families, Amanda has introduced The Music Classat Carla’s Dance Factory—a research-based, joyful early childhood music program for children birth through age four. This addition complements the studio’s dance training, fostering a love for rhythm, movement, and creativity from the very beginning.

Amanda is deeply committed to continuing the CDF mission of training the next generation of dancers—not only in technical skill but also in character, leadership, and resilience. By building strong faculty and mentoring systems, she ensures that CDF remains a place where families feel at home and students are challenged to grow as artists, leaders, and individuals who make a positive impact in their communities.
